Finally finished scanning and uploading all my Game Boy games! Many of them are boxed, but I’ve decided just to scan the cartridge to make it more symmetrical. So now the Game Boy Collection is up! :D In my Game Boy Collection all games are listed alphabetically with name, publisher and genre :)

Some Famicom Disk System games, most were complete with manual as well, Kid Icarus, Gall Force, Gun.Smoke and Zanac :) I have a copy of Kid Icarus for the NES, however that one doesn’t always work so I’m really happy for this Disk System one :) I also already had Gun.Smoke for the NES, but it’s a great game and it’s always interesting to see if there are any differences between the disk and the cart version ^_^
Then there were two japanese Sega Master System games, Aleste and Rock N’ Bolt. I’m excited to try these out! Rock N’ Bolt I’ve never heard of before ^_^

And last but not least a bunch of PC Engine games that I didn’t have :D I will upload these to the PC Engine library soon ^_^
For my birthday I got A LOT of games, I’ll share those soon, but first I wanna share one of my favorite gifts! :D My boyfriend bought a Nintendo Family Computer Robot (also known as R.O.B) from FredJ for my birthday :D I’ve wanted one of these robots for such a long time, but it has either not been in good enough shape, or it’s been too expensive. So this gift made me very happy ^_^ It even came in an original box! The box was a bit tattered.. but the Robot was in great condition with the block set!
So today I took Rob the Robot out for a little photo shoot ^_^ Look at his prettiness :D
I had a curious friend who really wanted to be in the pictures as well, it was hard not to let her ^_^
This weekend I’ve been to Berlin with my friend NinjaBrite, we had a relaxing weekend with a lot of fun. One of the best things we experienced though was the Computerspielemuseum (Video Game Museum). It’s a permanent museum on Karl Marx Allee in central Berlin and it’s got a lot to offer!
They had loads of retro gaming consoles on display in pretty green boxes, all labeled with the name of the system. I photographed mainly all the ones I didn’t own, so I would remember what to look for next ;D There was only one game displayed in these green boxes, which was Atari’s E.T.! But there were lots of other games there that you could play in other areas.
They also had an arcade area with original old arcade cabinets that were free to play!! This was totally exciting for me since I’ve hardly ever gotten to play any arcade machines, except when I was in Japan. The coolest one was of course the original Pong arcade cabinet, and an old spacey green arcade cabinet with some kind of shooter. You only got the try these out on mondays though and we were there on a thursday :( but we got to play a lot of Donkey Kong, Space Invaders II, Frogger, Gauntlet, Asteroids and others ^^
There were a lot of cool things to see, read about and experience. For example they had 4 computers playing Ludo against eachother, a 5 player pong you could try out, a computer you could ask anything and another computer which was impossible to beat!
Immediately at the entrance there were life sized statues of famous characters such as Link from Zelda, Rayman, Jak & Daxter and Lara Croft ^_^
They also had a GIANT Atari Joystick! It was even working and hooked up to an Atari 2600 Junior and you could play Pacman with it ^_^ I of course had to try it out! It was difficult but worked well!
Another cool game we tried out was Rom Check Fail! This was a recently made game (don’t remember by who..) that was basically a bunch of old classic games merged together in one big glitch! Really hard but really fun to play ^^ One second you’re playing as Pacman in Mario world, the next your the Asteroids ship flying around in Hyrule haha ^_^
This was a GREAT museum! And I recommend anyone going to Berlin to go see it ^_^
So today I’ve been busy as well! I’ve updated the PC Engine libraries with all the new games I’ve acquired and also created a collage with all the thumbnail pictures of all my PC Engine scans. Check out the PC Engine collage! ^_^

Toilet Kids is something I just HAD to buy as soon as I saw it on the Famicom Blog! I mean, come on! It’s TOILET KIDS! And all the enemies are flying poops and butts! LOL! °( ^o^)°

Some other PC Engine games that I’m very happy with are Cotton, Download, Violent Soldier, Paranoia, Mr Heli no Daibouken, PC Denjin Punkic Cyborgs and all the other great shooters I’ve just uploaded to the library!! Zipang was a cool puzzle platform, kind of like Solomon’s Key. The cover art is ridiculously awkward and funny as well ^_^
I just realized today that there is something wrong with my first PC Engine console, otherwise I would have had that one connected to the computer so I could record some gameplay, so right now I only have the Duo that’s working and it’s too far from the computer for recording to be smooth.. but I will try to work something out soon so I can review some of these awesome games! :D
I’ve spent all day today updating my Famicom library, both adding new games but also changing the layout a bit. Now the library has all big nice images of the games and the information below them, but I have also created a collage where you can see ALL the cartridges thumbnail pictures at once (instead of having to browse through A-Z if you’re not really sure what you’re searching for). It has taken quite some time, since I made all the thumbnail pics have a hover text with the name of the game and also clickable so they take you to the correct letter in the library if you wanna read more about it. So don’t forget to check out the Famicom collage!
I intend to do the same with all my collections once I have the time to scan the rest of it, and upload it all..
Anyway, here are some of the new games I’ve added to the library today as well:
Some that are a lot of fun and that I’m really happy to have are Robocco Wars (fun platforming action), Gun Nac (entertaining shooter), Kyūkyoku Tiger (another great shooter), Power blazer (Rockman’s fat cousin), Little Mermaid (nice platformer, a bit rare I think, haven’t seen it that often), Peepar Time (weird puzzle game, have never seen it anywhere before), and Donald Land (it’s just weird) ;D
I’ll try to get some time to review some games in more depth soon ^_^
